Suzi Quatro, the fourth of five children, was born under the star sign Gemini on 3rd June in Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A.
The Quatro family were all musically talented, in fact Suzi made her stage debut at the tender age of eight, playing bongos in her father's band, the Art Quatro Trio.
From an early age Suzi studied classical piano, drum and percussion, and at the age of 14, along with her sisters she formed "The Pleasure Seekers", with whom she played bass guitar and drum as well as featuring as lead vocalist.
The band were successful and in 1969, following a change of name to "Cradle", they played extensive tours of Canada and the USA.
MICKIE MOST
In
1971, at the invitation of Mickey Most, Suzi flew to England to make an album.
Shortly after, Suzi began working with songwriter-producers Nicky Chinn
and Mike Chapman in what was to prove to be one of the most successful of all
singer-songwriter-producer-record company associations!
CAN THE CAN
In May 1973, the Suzi Quatro single Can the Can smashed its way to the top of the British pop charts and gave Suzi her first No 1 hit record, others were to follow!

During the period 1973-79, Suzi Quatro featured in the British charts for no less than 101 weeks, her hit records . . .

HAPPY DAYS
In
1977-78, Suzi decided to spread her wings and invited interest from areas other
than pop and rock music.
Interest proved to be positive as Suzi quickly
received an invitation to appear in 16 episodes of the No 1 American TV show
Happy
Days,
playing the part of "Leather Tuscadero" opposite Henry Winkler's classic
interpretation of "Fonzie".
ACTING ROLES
Suzi soon found that there was interest in her acting abilities in England too and roles in Minder and Dempsey & Makepeace were immediately offered and duly accepted.
MUSICALS
In 1986, Suzi was enticed into making her West End acting debut, playing the part of sharp-shooter "Annie Oakley" in the Irving Berlin Musical Annie Get Your Gun, for which she received great critical acclaim.
OWN SHOWS
1988 dawned as did yet another facet of Suzi's talent, when at the invitation of Central Television, Suzi agreed to host her own networked Chat Show Gas Street, which gained her even more commendations.
1989
- TOURING
The following year 1989, Suzi decided to get back to her roots and undertook months of extensive worldwide touring, part of which included a venture behind the Iron Curtain for much publicised tour of the Soviet Union, during which she played to in excess of 500,000 fans in just 6 weeks!
1991 - SUZI's OWN MUSICAL
In 1991, Suzi was triumphant yet again, when she realised a long held ambition by starring in a Musical that she herself had written. Talullah Who? is the story of Hollywood film star Talullah Bankhead, it ran for it's full season of five weeks and Suzi Quatro received accolades which by this time had become the norm.
Two decades of worldwide chart-topping now behind her, an acknowledged career as an actress (and playwright) well and truly established, Suzi Quatro from Detroit, Michigan has taken her rightful place as one of the world's foremost and best-loved entertainers.
Suzi Quatro is an exceptional talent as well as being a very daring lady!
